Great idea for a blog, Nayyara and Moiz, especially for far away folks. I'm jumping on your bandwagon, even if I am not participating in the challenge officially. I have another forum that I frequent, but, I thought I'd come join you guys for a while, too.

You'd think being the only fat gal in Los Angeles would be motivation to not be fat. You'd be wrong. Life sucks and I'm an emotional person and I eat to repress my feelings and that is bad. Tough habit to break, but I'm trying. Not making time to exercise because my dissertation is kicking my ass (unfortunately, not literally) is another tough habit to break. I lost 28 pounds, then gained back 8, then lost another 5. So I'm -23 from where I began a while ago. Given y'all's weight loss challenge, I'm sort of starting over, to compete unofficially. I have about 30-35 pounds that I want to lose and then I'll be beach-happy. Let's see how much of it I can shed before Nasser's wedding.

On weigh in day, I was at X weight. I'm now at X-4. So far, not eating and a bunch of uphill walking has been my friend. Not healthy, but that's okay. I'm gonna get used to the exercise 5 days a week and then I'll work on the diet once I settle into my new house. Oh yeah, the previous owner practiced Santeria and my closet used to be her altar and there are cigar offerings in there that I'm not supposed to move. Maybe the spirits can keep my spirits up? I found this out after move-in day, but it made me smile. Leave it to me to find the spooky. I live among hills so walking every day has been good.

Pros: This week, 3 days of walking down.
Cons: This week's diet sucks, but I've still not located the grocery store, so maybe next week will be better.

word of advice: pick a program and stick with it. stop changing up programs. make this your last change. consistency is the most important part of all this. if you keep moving around you won't maximize your results.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE? You---and anyone from Nasser's family.  If you feel you do not need to lose weight but would like to participate you can sponsor someone--which means you pay half of their entry fee and they pay the other half.  Your purpose is to motivate the person you sponsored. If the person you sponsor wins you both split the prize. 

HOW LONG IS THE COMPETITION? The contest officially begins on January 7th- March 22nd (Total of 11 weeks and 6 days)

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST? The cost to enter the competition is $20.00 a person. Please pay by January 7th.

WHAT IF I DECIDE TO QUIT? Should you choose to quit the contest, you forfeit the entry fee. There are no refunds. You will be the winner of FFL:  Fat For LIFE! And your numbers will be my facebook status for a day---kidding!!! haha But seriously do not quit! 

HOW IS THE WINNER DETERMINED? The winner of the HOT by Nasser's Wedding Biggest Loser Contest will be the person who decreases the largest percentage of his or her starting body fat percentage(Simply subtract the old value from the new value, and then divide by the old value. Multiply the result by 100 and slap a % sign on it.)

WHAT WILL THE WINNERS RECEIVE?

There will be 2 winners: one from the girls group and one from the boys group. Each winner will receive half of the entry fee collected.

I WANT TO PARTICIPATE, HOW DO I ENTER?

Meet at Humaria Aunty's house on Saturday, January 7th at 11 AM sharp for the OFFICIAL WEIGH IN.   Also please bring your $20.  If you have already paid me and been weighted you do not have to come again unless you want too.

BEST NEWS EVER: one of my seniors from residency is a beach body coach.. so she is gonna coach me :) and shes always been super fit with 3 kids and is in her mid 40's.. smart and awesome!!!

ok so i just made a rash decision and bought yet another fitness program online.... i read a friends post on facebook and she looks great so i said im going for it! a fun and exciting workout.. Turbofire.. yes beachbody at it again.

so one more challenge i will get through.. maybe not till after the challenge, butthe intensity is just right...

today is legs and back im heading to the gym for this one.

Day 5: completed kenpo x, also did kettlebells this am... eating tracker.. went 80 calories over.... my 1200 ... so getting better.

tomorrow: legs and back... i wish i didnt have to use a wall or wall hanging thing. i refuse to do it that way.. maybe if the snow stops i will come up with plan b? any ideas??ill go to the p90 x forum.
