Once again, it is way too early for results. Like, way too early. You should start seeing results sometime mid February.

Also, for 100% of people, belly is always the problem. That's one of the last places that fat is taken off of when you diet. But, it does happen faster in girls than guys; guys seem to hold on to that lower belly fat and can't get visible abs until they are about 7% body fat, whereas women will get pretty good abs around 12 to 14%.

Exercise questions/discussion / Sofia's new cardio routine
« Last post by soffar on January 17, 2012, 09:27:50 pm »
So this is what I have started doing for cardio.. its called tempo training - somewhat like HIIT. I do this about 2-3 times a week

use whichever cardio machine you usually use. I love the treadmill because its the only machine i feel like i cant cheat on (aside from the stairmaster)

start off with a warm up for 8 minutes (steady walk - for me 4 on treadmill) the next 10-15 minutes increase speed to a comfortable pace where you could carry on some sort of conversation (6.2  for me). Follow this by 5 minutes of increased intensity (can say a word or two...so essentially not too fast) - (6.5-7). Repeat this 1-2 times. Usually after 2 sets you've hit over 45 min of cardio and that is beyond enough for me so i usually only repeat once. you end up sweating like a madman.. and feel awesome :) I put my speeds in, and everyone's speed will be absolutely different - just make sure you are pushing yourself to some degree regardless of what machine you are on.

Lol..

turkish get up looks so hard!! ive done half of it.. the first half just where you are laying down and raise your upper body up and then lay back. never all the way up. Also have to use a way smaller weight with that one!

LOVE kettlebell swings. usually do 60.

ok so today i ate:

Breakfast: two boiled eggs, 3 slices of turkey bacon, a banana, and coffee

Snack: 1 nature valley granola bar

Lunch: Salad with mixed greens, strawberries, onions, walnuts, blue cheese, and balsamic vinaigrette. bowl of fruit. and 3 curly fries. coke zero

Dinner: just had leftover pad kee mao with tofu from last night and a handful of teddy grahams (cant escape chocolate/fight off my sweet tooth)

So i have a pretty decent daily goal when it comes to water, i try to drink half of my body weight in ounces - so far about 1 1/2 L of water..need to drink a little more to be set.

Workout today was 1 hr of trx - i was sweating like a mad person. I try to do strength training about 3-4 times a week and cardio about the same.. some days i do both somedays i dont.. just depending on how much time i have.
